Build Your Own Cleaning Caddy
When it comes to cleaning, instead of rooting around under the sink or in the cupboard to gather the products you need, you could simply grab a cleaning caddy. Owning a caddy not only saves you time, it also offers an efficient storage solution so all your cleaning supplies are in one place and within reach.
There are a few considerations to make when choosing a cleaning caddy. You want it to be ergonomic and as practical as possible. It needs to be easy to store away and easy to clean incase of any spillages. But most importantly, it must have enough space for your cleaning supplies.
Here are a couple of cleaning caddy suggestions:
Daylesford Utility Carry - Aesthetically pleasing, and sturdy. It can store plenty of cleaning products.
Lakeland Deep Multipurpose Cleaning Caddy - A more ergonomic, lightweight design. Easy to carry around when cleaning your home.
You have your cleaning caddy, but what to include? There are a few essentials, I believe, a caddy shouldn’t be without.
Microfibre Cleaning Clothes - Great for cleaning a multitude of surfaces, damp or dry. They can clean dust, dirt and grease with ease and are reusable and washable.
Scrub Mommy Dual-sided Scrubber - A Scrub Daddy, but better (in my opinion). Its dual-sided FlexTexture and ResoFoam make this sponge more versatile and effective at scrubbing and soaking up liquids.
Marigold Rubber Gloves - If you’re using strong chemical cleaners, you want to protect your hands at all costs.
With a wide range of cleaners on offer, it’s hard to decide what to use when cleaning your home. Obviously everyone has their favourite products and what works best for them, however, here are my tried and tested recommendations for your cleaning caddy.
Miniml Eco Multi-surface Cleaner - Blood Orange - Eco-friendly, plant based, all natural spray. This is a great all rounder cleaning product to remove dirt and grime off a multitude of surfaces. You can also buy refills.
Aristowax Invisible Windows Foam Glass Cleaner - Satisfying to use and leaves amazing results. Unlike other glass cleaners, this product doesn’t drip down your window or mirror producing more of a mess. The foam clings to the surface and once wiped, leaves a streak-free finish.
INEOS Next Gen Antibac Multi-Room Cleaner - A plant-based cleaner, not only does it kill bacteria but it’s also effective against limescale, watermarks and grease too. Great for both kitchens and bathrooms.
Cif Cream Cleaner - A well trusted brand. This versatile cleaner can be used to clean both the kitchen and bathroom on a variety of surfaces. Use on the kitchen hob or sink, or clean in the bathroom on tiles and bathtubs.
Domestos Power Foam Limescale Remover Cleaner - Eliminates 99.9% bacteria and tackles tough limescale and soap scum. This spray can be used on taps, sinks, tiles, and more, to leave a hygienically clean bathroom.
Flash Dust Magnet - This is the cleaning tool to keep your home dust free. Its fluffy fibres trap and lock dust, hair and allergens, and are versatile to clean into every nook and cranny. Once done, you can simply replace the head.
SonicScrubber - I cannot recommend this cleaning tool enough. Clean every nook and cranny in your home with precision. Its interchangeable heads mean you can clean a variety of surfaces, from tiles and grout, to sinks and footwear. It’s versatile, easy to use and helps you clean your home with ease.
Muji Cleaning System Carpet Cleaner - Instead of using a vacuum (which can be too powerful for some rugs), I use this roller to pick up dirt or debris. You can also use a telescopic pole attachment for those hard-to-reach areas.
